What can you tell me about Xpectia FZ

Hello to all:

I have recently joined this network, and I have seen that there's is not much activity in the forum or groups. It is totally the oposite than the outside world, where news about vision systems and recent aplications arise every week.

I would like to ask if some of you have read about the new vision system from OMRON. The Xpectia FZ. More than if you have read about it, I would like to know if someone has seen this system functioning, in what area has it been applied, what advantages and disadvantages brings in the real world.

In Spain it is expected to be available from next January, so by the moment only press releases can be obtained.

If some of you can contribute with posts around this topic, I look forward to reading it.

Dear Mr Hofmann:

I would like to thank you for the resources you have shared with us. I am sure that the GUI from Xpectia is easy to use, intuitive and extremely user friendly. Being a product from OMRON, I have no doubt about its flexibility, reliability and robustness...

Besides, I am looking for comments from someone who has installed this software, and can give me some advice about accuracy, repeatability, and how fast is it for 100% in-line product inspection. I see many examples of 2D, color and character recognition, but very few 3D applications.
